Robert Cramer, 92, of North Beach Haven, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2018 while being cared for at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ. One of his favorite joys in life was tending to his vegetable garden and sharing his bounty with his family, friends and neighbors. Madeleine J. Walt (nee Melvin), age 85, of Beach Haven passed away on February 11, 2018 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. She was born Johanna Philomena Hedderman on a farm in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, Ireland on September 22, 1926 to Nora (Fraher) and Maurice Hedderman. Arrangements were under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 1119 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, NJ 08008. He was a POW at Camp Chumen, Bulgaria. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday July 25th, 2019 from 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, Marine Street and Atlantic Ave., Beach Haven. He grew up in King of Prussia, PA attending Upper Merion High School and later attending Drexel University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. Cremation was private. He and his late wife, Margaret, moved to Surf City in the early 1960’s, after his retirement from the Bendix Corporation in North Jersey.
