SAN DIEGO (CNS) -- More rain showers came down across San Diego County Thursday, increasing chances for thunderstorms in the mountains and deserts in the afternoon. Power shutoffs are approved by state regulators as a safety tool to mitigate fire risk during dangerous weather conditions, SDG&E said.
The ALERT Flood Warning System in San Diego County consists of over 100 ALERT flood warning stations, which include 14 stream gages, 10 reservoir level sensors, 90 rainfall sensors, and 13 weather stations. Please avoid the area and do not attempt to cross.
