In the exposition of Double Identity we meet Bethany a twelve year old girl about to turn thirteen. The next day, Bethany told Myrlie that she is a swimmer, so Myrlie took her to the YMCA to swim. It shows so much irony in a way since in the beginning the tone and mood were set a specific way but now when you come to the end it gives you a true satisfaction of what a perfect ending is rather than those so called “ HAPPILY EVER AFTER.“ Even though this book doesn’t relate to me in any way i still love it since it made me thought that if I were Bethany would I be reacting the same way as her or not. Weird things have happened before her big trip. 5.
The main characters in this book are 13 year old Bethany, Her aunt Myrlie and Bethany’s dead sister Elizabeth. 6. All of a sudden, they pull up into a driveway of an unknown town, and an unknown neighborhood that Bethany had never been to before.

Myrlie said that she promised Walter that she wouldnt tell, although she wanted to. This book was really well-paced with well described details. It was so tragic and that’s why her parents were so over protective towards Bethany. She says, “I’m not supposed to call you, you know. Myrlie and bec ause took Bethany back downstairs, where she in good order guessed all of Bethanys favorite foods. I read Double Identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix. She was outgoing and into sports.

the protaganist is a girl who loves to swim and do another activties. Just as I thought I knew the truth, the actual truth about what was happening in the book shocked me.
That being said it was a cute story about a girl who is dropped off at her aunt's house that she had no knowledge of and her parents take off leaving her in this unknown woman's care. Double Identity by Margaret Peterson is about A 12 year old girl named Bethany.
The whole time I was reading this, I thought "What's going to happen next?". The way that Margaret presents this story is totally in a different style than most books are written. Her mother is crying all the time and her father is following her everywhere she goes. She graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with degrees in English/journalism, English/creative writing and history. Every time something happened, we'd spend the next 10-20 pages going through Bethany's thoughts on the whole thing... that was basically the whole book.

She decides to combine a little bit of science with mys. That being said it was a cute story about a girl who is dropped off at her aunt's house that she had no knowledge of and her parents take off leaving her in this unknown woman's care. Children's or YA novel, can only remember the twist ending: girl has basically been raised as her twin sister her whole life, her twin (and also her parents I think) died when their car crashed into a tree (protagonist was also in crash). this book had a lot to do with idenitity and who a individual was.
