As of Friday, September 25, 2020, Colonial had installed 87 monitoring and recovery wells at the site. Colonial has also confirmed its participation in the August 27 Community Meeting in Huntersville. To date, no petroleum impacts have been observed at the surface water sampling locations. According to the plan approved by Mecklenburg County Emergency Management, Huntersville-Concord Road re-opened to all traffic the morning of Monday, August 24, as scheduled.
