Winter park is close enough to Orlando for occasion trips or commuting for work, but it’s far enough away to escape the major cities crime and traffic gridlock. Less than 160 acres, it’s pleasantly walkable. We have enough of the Northerners coming here being rude and not knowing how to drive.

There isn’t a town or city anywhere within commuting distance of that place that’s on any of our best places to live in Florida lists, walkable or otherwise. It’s close enough to Miami that you can easily get to and from the 24/7 action of the city, but just far enough out into the ocean that you immediately get that sense of “ahhhhh” when you drive over the Rickenbacker Causeway. Again, there are far better places to chose. They don’t belong to a gym either. I’m a very nice person and I don’t dive, so I won’t be bothering you.
