After three months of not getting any work - they tell you you have to re apply for any job you may have had.
The interview process is quite simple, if you have the documentation, then you are good to go. If you don't call in - you don't get work.
They show blatant favouritism to certain individuals and in this politically correct insane culture I am not allowed to mention who those people are so people like myself are brushed under the carpet, expendable.
This in itself was a massive problem, as they employ around 300-400 casual staff who get the text message but only have one dedicated line to receive calls, This resulted in spending the best part of an hour, repeatedly dialling the number to only be met with a busy tone, and when they did pick up.
Appalling service. They take all your personal details, waste your time and leave weeks between contacting you.

Some people get job offers every day of every week and some people like myself were offered barely anything and 80 per cent of the shifts I did get (usually after phoning up to beg) were cancelled. Good riddance. Breaks are unpaid and often the Managers will tell you to. This company really doesn't make getting work easy and they continually recruit new workers on a lower rate - so the longer you have been there - the more likely you are to get less work it seems. Manchester City Centre, Greater Manchester, Total waste of my time, don't waste yours as well, 2 months in and still not even had an induction, You need to go into this with your eyes wide open - it's not good, Why have i not had any more shifts offers.
One weeks notice is not hard to ask for.
This allowed me to stufy and still find the time to earn some money in my spare time.
Join the Angard Staffing team. I spoke to Frankelin the manager and she was marvelous resolved the issue within few days. From February to July (5 month!!) Even when calling seconds after getting a text, you're not guaranteed a shift.

How are the working hours at ANGARD STAFFING? Rant over, i am happy with the general atmosphere of the workplace, which has a variety of sectors, each one of which requires different skils.
It took Angard weeks to sort out my 2nd application during which time I had to resubmit my ID and application form 3 times.
It then took a further 5 weeks to pay me for the 2 weeks I had worked prior to them saying they had no record of me. If you don't get texts you don't get work. DO NOT WORK HERE!!!!!
And if there is a job to do which the permanent staff don't like, you can guarantee it'll be given to the Angard temps. After 5 weeks of chasing and chasing which had to be done by email because they weren't taking calls during lockdown, they finally accepted me and surprise, surprise gave me the same Staff ID number as my first application which they claimed never to have received. I am looking forward to working for a fixed contract.

I had been asked by a Manager on the Sorting Floor to come in as she knew me and knew my application was in progress - an application I would add which was prompted by Angard after my stint at Christmas. I would advise greater clarity on contract length with more emphasis on induction that it is upto 12 weeks and better communication on termination dates. I applied for this job in February, and was informed in the interview that I had been successful in getting the job. I were told I would get at least one shift a week, which is lies because it’s now JULY and I’ve not even been able to get an induction yet. Get weekly updates, new jobs, and reviews. Brillaint training and all really supportive and so friendly and fab place to.work but Angard are a waste.of space . I have no complaints about the work environment it was solid enough . It took2 months for them to sort out other procedures but could not resolve the issue. Having worked at Angard for 2 months the shifts have completely dried up! However angard staffing communication after the initial induction was at best chaotic and when it came to communicating things like end dates non existant. Treated inferior to full time staff.
Therefore I have lost the job and higher rate due to no fault of my own.
Apparently, it was because I wasn't insured.
Does ANGARD STAFFING require pre-employment background checks?
The cynic in me thinks this might be to do with breaking casual's continuity in their probationary period in order to circumvent the "The Temporary Agency Work Directive 2008/104/EC i" I wonder? I have not even had an induction, never mind a paid shift.

There’s a so called wage increase after 13 weeks continuous work but I didn’t get any from month to month let alone week to week.
Shifts are offered out at a moment's notice. Good job I haven’t been struggling for money. They will ignore all of your e-mails especially the consultant in atherstone they will not not allocate any shifts.
Angard are the worst company I have worked for. I said before it's a good company but why did I not get anymore shifts offers when I got on with all around me and I done what was asked this includes management. I started working here as a means of gaining income while i was at university. No way to contact by telephone and emails are just ignored. Zero hour contracts means exactly that unless your face fits. Having worked at Angard for 2 months the shifts have completely dried up!
